How we use the information that we collect

 

In order to provide our full range of services, we may collect the following types of information:

 

Information that you provide – When you sign up for a iWahh Account or other iWahh service or promotion that requires registration, we ask you for personal information (such as your name, email address and an account password). For certain services, such as our ‘Recording deal’ membership and Record Label service , you will also be required to submit credit card or other payment account information to PayPal, who will responsible for ensuring the transaction security. We have particularly chosen to use PayPal because of their payment security procedures, performance and reliability. We may combine the information that you submit under your account in order to provide you with a better experience and to improve the quality of our services and for security purposes. For certain services, we may give you the opportunity to opt out of combining such information. We advise that a main feature of iWahh is to promote unsigned music and thus inherently information may be shared with third parties in order to promote the music and public profile and exposure of unsigned music artists. In particular, iWahh may have account pages on other websites such as Facebook, MySpace, YouTube and Twitter, and thus may feature some of your music uploaded on iWahh on these third party websites in order to provide exposure and promote you as an artist.

 

Cookies – When you visit iWahh, we may send one or more cookies (a small file containing a unique string of characters) to your computer or other device that uniquely identifies your browser. By using cookies we improve the quality of our service in terms of convenience, your personal preferences and improving search results and ad selection and analysing specific user trends and behaviours. We’ll also use cookies to help improve our service to our advertising customers in order to ensure that relevant adverts are shown appropriately. You should have the option within your browser options to prevent cookies being received by your browser but we advise that some of iWahh features (such as login in) may not work properly with this restriction enabled.

 

Information that we log: When you visit iWahh, our servers will automatically record, or log, information regarding the visist and requests by your browser, this automatic function is common amongst many websites. Server logs information may include your web request, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and IP address.

 

User communications – When you send a message or other communication to or via iWahh, we may retain this information in order to efficiently process your enquiries and requests and also to improve security.

 

iWahh we may record which links you click in order to improve the quality of our search technology, advertising and customisable content for your convenience.

 

All information collected by iWahh from any of our related applications, gadgets or services on other websites will be governed by our policies including but not limited to this privacy policy, our Terms and Conditions and our Chart Rules where applicable. 

 

 

 

Your Uploads

 

We do not own or hold any rights to any of your uploads, which will be of particular concerns to musicians. If you upload your music, it is entirely yours and we are not due any commissions or fees from any income generated from a particular track/video outside of iWahh. However, we advise that we are permitted to manage and/or process data uploaded in accordance with this Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions (please see our Terms and Conditions for more information).

 

 

 

Choices for personal information

 

When you sign up for a particular service that requires registration, we ask you to provide personal information. If we use this information in a manner different from the purpose for which it was collected, then we will ask for your consent prior to such use. We do not store any credit card or other external payment account details, such details may be stored by Paypal – please refer to the privacy policy on their website for further details.

 

If we should propose to use personal information for any purposes other than those described in this Privacy Policy and/or in our Terms and Conditions or other subsequent notifications, we will endeavour to offer you an effective way to opt out of the use of personal information for those other purposes. We will not collect or use sensitive information for purposes other than those described in this Privacy Policy and/or in our Terms and Conditions or other subsequent notifications.

 

 

 

Sharing Information

 

iWahh will only share personal information with thirdy parties in the following limited circumstances:

You have given us your consent

 

- When information and/or data is provided to our subsidiaries, affiliated companies or other trusted businesses or persons for the purpose of managing or processing personal information on our behalf. All such parties are required to conduct the related activities in accordance with this Privacy Policy, our Terms and Conditions and other relevant policies and security measures 

 

- Where we are confident, in good-faith, that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, (b) enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations thereof, (c) detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, or (d) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Google, its users or the public, as required or permitted by law.

 

- Where we are confident, in good-faith, that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information will help promote your music and/or talent and provide wider range audience with which to share. We will share such information in an effort to provide a direct benefit for you and help you achieve successful music career milestones. For example, if we partner with a offline/omline music store we may provide our iWahh CD which may in turn have music that you have uploaded onto iWahh. In all such circumstances, we will list either your name as the artist/musician/creator/owner or your iWahh unique URL to increase your visits. We advise that we will not seek to raise significant profits from the sharing of such music material without aiming to share our profit or further reward you and other other artists for your uploads.

 

If iWahh becomes involved in a merger, acquisition or a similar significant sale of its assets, we will endeavour to maintain the confidentiality of all personal information.

 

We advise that certain items of aggregated, non-personal information, such as the number of users who played a particular song or  how many users clicked a particular advert, where we believe that such information will not personally identify an individual, may be shared with third parties where necessary.

 

We advise that we will continually take the appropriate security measures where practically possible with an aim to protect and maintain sensitive and personal information.

 

 

 

Accessing and updating personal information

 

In good-faith we allow users to update, edit or change personal information, with the expectation that the user will use this feature/ability appropriately. iWahh reserves the right to take appropriate action as determined entirely by iWahh itself if such features have been used, or is suspected of being used inappropriately or outside of iWahh’s intended purpose.

  

 

 

Enforcement

 

When we receive formal written complaints, including but not limited to copyright infringement and misuse of personal information, we endeavour to take the appropriate action as determined by the applicable UK law and keep the complainant updated until he problems are resolved. We advise that being an internet based company, there is a possibility of being overwhelmed with written correspondence from various parties worldwide and we advise that this may be reflected in the duration of our complaints procedure.

Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time, however we expect that the majority of such changes will be minor. Regardless, we will post any Privacy Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will endeavour to provide a more prominent notice (such as email notification where appropriate).
